Now that it is spring time it is time to start thinking about the Prairie State Railroad Club’s annual swap meet and train show! This years event will once again take place at Plowman’s Park/Kenny Field in Big Rock, Illinois on June 29th. The swap meet includes vendors, operating modular layouts, and of course rides on the Prairie State Railroad. I hope to see you all there! Vendor registration is included below.
Thursday’s meeting for March has been cancelled. Be sure to check back to see the new date for this meeting.
Just a reminder for everyone that the March 2013 meeting date is coming up. The meeting will be March 28, 2013 at the same location in Big Rock at the town hall. The meeting starts at 7:30 and I hope to see you all there.
The Prairie State Railroad Club would like to wish everyone a late Happy New Year. During the months of December and January we were experiencing problems with the website so it could not be updated before today. The 2013 calender of events has been posted on our Upcoming Events 2013 page. Our first membership meeting will be February 28, 2013. Hope to see you all there!

Everyone in attendance had a great time at this year’s party. After a wonderful meal, the members broke out the model trains with N, HO, and G scales represented.
Don’t forget about out Christmas Party December 15th. We will begin at noon with a SHORT meeting then we will eat. We ask everybody attending to bring a dish to pass. After dinner we will break out the model trains.
